NOTICE OF OPENING:          Science Teacher Middle School Part Time

LOCATION:                             Chatterton Middle School

WORK YEAR:                         2026-2027 School Year

SALARY:                                 Per FEA Contract

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SCIENCE TEACHER:

  • Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certification with an endorsement in
    • Science - DX (preferred), Integrated Science - DI, or Chemistry - DC, Biology- DA
  • Must submit to pass a criminal background check
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, students, parents, staff, administration and the general public.
  • Ability to work with a diverse student population
  • A high level of commitment to working within a culturally, ethnically, and economically diverse environment
  • High expectations of self and a commitment to continuous improvement and professional practice.
  • High expectations of students coupled with the ability to inspire and support students as they meet those expectations.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn and apply behavioral and academic MTSS models
  • A willingness to fully participate in and contribute to a professional learning community
