Job Summary
R & May Transportation is hiring Part-Time School Bus Drivers!

Join a growing New Jersey school transportation company and make a difference in your community every day. As a School Bus Driver with R & May Transportation, you will safely transport students to school in the morning and return them home in the afternoon.
This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for steady part-time work, a predictable weekday schedule, and additional earning opportunities through field trips and extracurricular transportation.

Experienced CDL drivers are encouraged to apply, and training opportunities may be available for qualified candidates looking to become school bus drivers.
Responsibilities 
  • Safely transporting students to and from school
  • Following assigned routes and maintaining scheduled pickup and drop-off times
  • Ensuring students board and exit the vehicle safely
  • Maintaining a safe and orderly environment while students are on board
  • Performing required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Conducting thorough post-trip student checks after every route
  • Reporting vehicle concerns or mechanical issues promptly
  • Following all traffic laws, school transportation regulations, and company safety procedures
  • Maintaining communication with dispatch and operations regarding delays, route issues, or student concerns
  • Keeping your assigned vehicle clean and presentable
  • Providing professional and courteous service to students, parents, school personnel, and the community
Qualifications
  • Are at least 23 years old
  • Have a valid Commercial Driver's License and a safe driving record
  • Are dependable, punctual, and safety-focused
  • Enjoy working with children
  • Can successfully complete all required background checks and school transportation requirements
  • Can meet all applicable New Jersey MVC, Department of Education, and DOT requirements
  • Are willing to complete required drug and alcohol testing for safety-sensitive positions
  • Clean driving record with no recent accidents or traffic citations
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Ability to follow GPS directions
