POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Aquinas Institute of Rochester is seeking a dependable Part-Time Bus Driver to join our community. Unlike traditional school routes, this position focuses on transporting student-athletes, faculty, and staff to field trips, athletic competitions, and retreats. 


No daily 5:00 AM wake-up calls required!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Safe Transport: Ensure the secure, timely transportation of all passengers.

· Vehicle Inspection: Perform mandatory pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections.

· Fleet Care: Fuel the vehicle and clean the interior/exterior after trips.

· Route Planning: Plan optimal travel routes and estimate accurate arrival times.

· Maintenance Reporting: Promptly report any mechanical or safety concerns.

· Communication: Maintain clear updates regarding route timing and trip status.

Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS

· Licensing: Valid NYS CDL Class B with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.

· Compliance: Full compliance with NYS Article 19-A regulations, including random drug and alcohol screenings.

· Clearances: Must pass federal/state fingerprinting and a criminal background check.

· Health: Must possess a valid DOT medical card and pass a pre-employment drug screening.

· Skills: Strong knowledge of NYS Vehicle and Traffic Laws and confidence driving in diverse road conditions.
