Job Requirements

Starting Pay Rate: $17.00 hourly

The Crescent is the newest luxury hotel joining the award-winning Turning Stone Enterprises resort in Verona, NY, opening in July 2026 as part of its transformative Evolution. This sophisticated property will feature more than 250 guest rooms and suites, upscale dining at Salt, and direct access to the state-of-the-art Grand Expo Convention Center. 

As a Front Office Receptionist, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by welcoming guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, and providing outstanding service in a dynamic resort environment.

What you will do as a Front Office Receptionist:                        

  • Always acknowledges the guest waiting at reception. Greets the guests initially by using their name.
  • Effectively answer any guest questions. Direct guests to proper areas for answers to questions. Follow through on guest issues to ensure they are resolved. Exhibit a sincere desire to comply with guests' requests.
  • Consistently places all registration materials into the guest's hand. Provides a copy of bill in the guest's hands during check out. Confirms the payment method.
  • Always addresses guest by name during closing. Always encourages return visits.
  • Promptly alerts escorts (i.e. bell, door, valet) Always provides a formal introduction to the escorts. 
  • Consistently makes sure all paperwork is completed correctly. Ensures all standard operating procedures are followed.
  • Promptly answers phone at the front desk

Work Experience

To be successful as a Front Office Receptionist, you'll need:

  • A High School Diploma or Equivalency.
  • Experience in a guest contact position.
  • Must have two years hotel experience.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Preferable be able to type 40 words per minute 
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 35 lbs.
