Job Description

Delivering exceptional, personalized dining experiences, this role leads the seamless execution of all food and beverage service within the Fairmont Gold Department, ensuring every guest interaction reflects the highest standards of luxury and satisfaction.

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards..
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas..
  • Answer department telephone within 3 rings, using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
  • Review the daily business levels, anticipate critical situations and plan effective solutions to best expedite these situations.
  • Inspect, plan and ensure that all materials and equipment are in complete readiness for service; rectify deficiencies with respective personnel.
  • Interact appropriately with guests, ensuring prompt and courteous service; resolve any concerns or complaints.
  • Perform job functions to ensure optimum service to guests.
  • Observe guest reactions and confer frequently with fellow staff members to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Adhere to hotel requirements for guest/colleague accidents or injuries and in emergency situations.
  • Review the arrival report for accuracy and completeness; rectify any deficiencies with respective personnel.
  • Foster and promote a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and colleague morale.
  • Complete work orders for maintenance repairs and submit to Royal Service.  Contact Engineering directly for urgent repairs.
  • Document pertinent information in department log book.
  • Responsible for execution of all aspects of food and beverage service to guests in the daily operation of the Fairmont Gold Department, ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction at all times
  • Ensure that all Fairmont Gold Standards of Service & Operational Procedures are adhered to
  • Communicates with Fairmont Gold Supervisors with special requests and guest preferences
  • Ensures the highest possible revenues are generated for Fairmont Gold through promotion and control of the honor bar
  • Performs daily/weekly/monthly duties (including cleaning) as per duty list.
  • Monitor inventory of equipment and food
  • Delivers coffee wake up orders in the mornings
  • Maintain cleanliness of Lounge and Buffet area throughout the day, to the highest standard. Performing daily/weekly/monthly duties (including cleaning) as per duty list.
  • Develops and maintains strong guest relationships to ensure Fairmont Gold loyalty.
  • Strong & effective communication with other departments (stewarding, kitchen).
  • Works with the kitchen to provide the daily Fairmont Gold Lounge menu & food presentation, in line with Fairmont Gold Standards of Procedures & Service
  • Adheres to and promotes the Company's Health & safety policies to ensure a safe work environment and knowledgeable about all safety & emergency procedures
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate.
  • One to two years of experience in a quality food and beverage environment is required
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal.
  • Previous experience in cashiering.
  • Ability to:
