JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at Penn State University Park invites applications for 1 part-time course manager to start August 2026. The successful candidates will assist Prof. Andy Lukoff for up to 20 hours per week during the academic semester.

Job Duties:

  • Manage 110+ teams of 3-5 students using The Fresh Connection (TFC) Simulation (Primary responsibility)
  • Assist with grading assignments
  • Hold study sessions before exam time
  • Create and manage Teams in Canvas and TFC.
  • Tally Peer Evaluations for group assignments
  • Validate the Weekly Lesson aligns with the Canvas calendar
  • Validate all links in Canvas and Top Hat, add specific settings/uploads if needed/requested
  • Send out intro email to class, share your contact info, and communicate office hours
  • Manage master course roster sheet (including demographics, drop/add, and other relevant information)
  • Assist in the research of a topic when needed. Create slides. Find images
  • Assist in preparing Exams and Poll Questions
  • Monitor and administer "Administrative Issues" form
  • Assist with miscellaneous administrative tasks such as copying, scanning, and tallying
  • Hold office hours for at least three hours per week in-person or on Zoom
  • Attend one class session per day (2x75 minutes/week) to ensure alignment with instructor

Required Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of SCM 301 at Penn State
  • Currently enrolled Penn State student

Compensation:

Starting rate for this position is $18.00 per hour.
