We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Pre-Op, Circulator and PACU care in our Ambulatory Surgery Center in Columbus, IN.
Our nurses play a critical role in taking care of our patients from pre-operative, intraoperative and post-anesthesia care.
No Evenings, Weekends, Holidays, or On-call!

Responsibilities

  • Provide comfort and reassurance to patients and support the patients' right to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
  • Confirm that proper techniques and procedures are used according to accepted standards of practice.
  • Perform thorough pre-operative patient assessment required in the outpatient setting.
  • Perform safe and individualized nursing care for the patient in the immediate post-operative/post-anesthesia period.
  • Perform thorough post-operative patient assessment prior to discharge of the patient.
  • Perform discharge education to patient and care giver.
  • Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered.
  • Documenting all aspects of patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic medical records system.
  • Assists in managing inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels in the postoperative area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of CPIhealth.

Requirements
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in perioperative nursing, including preoperative, circulator, and PACU preferred but will train.
  • Pain experience preferred.
  • Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Indiana.
  • Detailed oriented, reliable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
  • Valid BLS certification.
  • Valid ACLS or Obtain within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, anesthesia, and perioperative nursing protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients and their families.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems and other medical software.

Pay Rate: $32 to $34 (depending on experience)
Schedule: Part Time, Monday to Wednesday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (Occasional Thursday or Friday to replace regular days)
