Part-Time Registered Nurse

Responsibilities Located on a 27-acre wooded campus, Fairmount Behavioral Health System is a peaceful, therapeutic environment for patients and families. Fairmount is a major regional resource for children, adolescents and adults who have psychiatric and behavioral problems as well as alcohol and drug dependency needs. The spacious campus borders Fairmount Park in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. With one of the leading alcohol and drug detox and rehab programs in Philadelphia, Fairmount is the provider of choice for individuals requiring specialized co-occurring psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment.

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse to join our team. Schedule: Two shifts per week. 7:00PM-7:30AM, including every other weekend

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
  • Licensure and registration by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners as a registered nurse.
  • Certification in CPR, AED and First Aid.
  • Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, behavior and crisis management.
  • New grads encouraged to apply! Excellent orientation and mentorship program!

The Registered Nurse supervises the delivery of nursing care provided by professional and support nursing staff on a designated unit. Care is provided in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Fairmount Behavioral Health System and the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care and the Nursing Board of Pennsylvania. The Registered Nurse prescribes, coordinates, and delegates care utilizing the nursing process which is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care. The Registered Nurse is accountable for nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit.
