$35.00 per hour | Approximately 10 Hours Per Week | Flexible Schedule

Every Child Deserves a Chance.

At Methodist Home for Children (MHC), we provide safe, stable homes where children can thrive and live to their full, God-given potential. Through our Juvenile Assessment & Crisis Centers, we help youth facing significant challenges -including trauma, mental health concerns, neglect, substance abuse, and family instability- receive the support, assessment, and guidance they need to build a brighter future.

We are seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position works approximately 10 hours per week and offers a flexible schedule. The RN serves a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of youth admitted to the Assessment Center while providing medical consultation and support to program staff.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct physical assessments for youth within 24 hours of admission.
  • Provide medical consultation and guidance to Assessment Center staff.
  • Respond to youth medical needs, including sick calls, routine assessments, and triage of injuries and illnesses.
  • Oversee medication administration practices and record-keeping protocols.
  • Collaborate with program leadership to review and improve healthcare procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Assessment Center and community healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing and at least two (2) years of nursing experience.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
What We're Looking For
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfort serving youth with complex needs.
  • Computer proficiency and experience maintaining professional records.
Why Join Methodist Home for Children?

This is an opportunity to use your nursing skills in a meaningful way while maintaining a flexible schedule. Your work will directly impact vulnerable youth during a critical time in their lives and help connect them with the services and support they need to succeed.

If you're looking for a rewarding nursing role where you can truly make a difference, we encourage you to apply today.
