Crouseโs Pediatric Recovery Care Center (Peds RCC) is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care for patients whose procedures/treatments require less than a 24-hour hospital stay. The Pediatric RCC serves a population ranging in age from infant to 18 years old
Pay Range: $39.78ย - $51.50/hour based on experienceย
Schedule:ย Part-Time, 32 hours/week,ย 6:00AM-6:30PM, 5:30AM-6:00PM, 5:30AM-6:30PM; 6:00am-2:30pm with rotation of holidays & other shifts as neededย (This position works on the Pediatric RCC and floats to the Adult RCC when there are no pediatric cases scheduled)ย

Registered Nurse (RN) Position Responsibilities:
- Provides professional judgment and knowledge of roles as it pertains to the Crouse Hospital Professional Nursing Practice Model.
- Carries out duties and responsibilities per legal requirements under the Registered Nurse Scope of Practice, with emphasis on leading a culture of safe care.
- Responsible for all activities requiring assessment, planning, diagnosing, evaluating, judgment, problem-solving, creating and implementing the plan of care.
- Provides appropriate education to patients and families to promote health, facilitate rehabilitation and maintain wellness. Evaluates effectiveness and revises as appropriate.
- Monitors and evaluates patient responses to treatment/plan of care during hospital stay.
- Utilizes and engages in evidence-based practice to deliver quality patient care.
- Demonstrates characteristics and skills that promote critical thinking in clinical problem-solving situations.
Registered Nurse (RN) Position Requirements:
- Must have a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing degree program required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred.
- For RNsย licensed in or after 2017, completion of a Bachelorโs of Nursing Degree will be required within 8 years of the date the license was obtained.
- Minimum two (2) years ย recent RN pediatric experience
- Certification in a specialty area preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.ย PALSย certified at time of hire, or obtained within six months of hire
