Part Time Risk Analyst information

How do part-time risk analysts typically collaborate with full-time risk management teams?

Part-time risk analysts often work closely with full-time team members by participating in regular meetings, sharing analysis reports, and providing insights on specific projects or risk assessments. They may focus on particular tasks, such as data analysis or preparing risk documentation, and communicate findings to the broader team. Effective collaboration is usually facilitated through digital platforms, clear scheduling, and open channels of communication, ensuring that part-time analysts can contribute meaningfully despite reduced hours.

To thrive as a Part Time Risk Analyst, you need strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a background in finance, economics, or a related field, often with a relevant degree. A part time risk analyst helps organizations identify, assess, and manage potential risks that could impact their operations or financial health, but works fewer hours than a full-time employee. Their responsibilities may include analyzing data, preparing risk reports, and recommending strategies to minimize losses. Part time risk analysts often focus on specific projects or areas of risk, and may work flexible hours to accommodate organizational needs. This role is common in finance, insurance, and other industries where risk management is crucial.

Job description

Inspire Brands is seeking a Treasury Intern to gain hands-on experience across multiple treasury functions, including Cash Management & Forecasting, Payments, Debt & Capital Markets, Loss Prevention & Fraud, Operations, and Compliance. This role offers a broad exposure to corporate treasury processes, financial operations, and risk management while developing key analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. While more technical treasury projects-such as Power BI reporting, Microsoft Power Automate, and coding-related tasks-are primarily handled by part-time interns, this role will focus on financial analysis, reporting, and cross-functional treasury initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in cash flow analysis and forecasting, tracking liquidity across Inspire Brands' operations.
  • Support bank account management, maintaining accurate records and assisting with documentation.
  • Conduct financial data analysis using Excel and treasury systems to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Assist in monitoring debt and capital market activities, preparing financial reports and key performance metrics.
  • Contribute to fraud prevention and loss mitigation strategies, analyzing transaction data for potential risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional treasury teams to optimize financial processes and reporting accuracy.
  • Assist with compliance efforts by supporting audits, internal controls, and treasury policy reviews.
  • Work on process improvement initiatives, identifying efficiencies in cash management and payments workflows.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an understanding of financial principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; familiarity with Power BI or automation tools is a plus but not required.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work across multiple treasury teams.
  • Prior internship or coursework in corporate finance, treasury, or financial analysis is preferred.
