Risk Management Analyst

Profile Summary:

This role is a part of our Voya Investment Management Entry Level Program. This program, which will begin in July 2026, is designed to develop the careers of entry level employees and provide you with the unique opportunity to begin your investment career while gaining hands-on experience and on-the-job development and training.

An entry-level analyst in Risk Management will focus on collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing data related to financial markets and investment portfolios, process mapping, incident tracking and analysis. They will work with large datasets, using statistical tools and software to identify trends, build financial models, and generate reports for stakeholders. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and the ability to communicate findings effectively.
Profile Description:
Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Management: Gathering data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy, and managing data storage for efficient access.

  • Data Cleaning and Preparation: Identifying and correcting errors in the data, transforming raw data into a usable format for analysis.

  • Data Analysis and Modeling: Applying statistical methods, mathematical models, and data mining techniques to extract insights and make predictions.

  • Data Visualization: Creating visual representations of data, such as charts and dashboards, to communicate findings to stakeholders.

  • Report Generation and Communication: Compiling reports that outline key insights and communicating findings to relevant teams and management.

  • Supporting Senior Analysts: Assisting with larger projects and gaining experience in data-driven decision-making processes.

  • Strong investment domain knowledge: Exposure to investments analytics of various asset classes, Risk Analytics (Tracking Errors, VaR, Factor and other risks). Fundaments of Performance and Attribution of P&L.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Applicants should be graduating with an undergraduate degree in December 2025 or spring/summer of 2026.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and draw conclusions.

  • Statistical Analysis: Proficiency in using statistical tools and techniques to interpret data and make predictions.

  • Data Visualization: Familiarity with tools like Tableau, Power BI or any other standard reporting tools to create effective visualizations.

  • Data Mining: Knowledge of SQL or other query languages to extract data from databases.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly and concisely communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and precision in data analysis and reporting.

  • Problem-Solving: Using data to identify and solve problems related to investment strategies and portfolio performance.

  • Spreadsheets: Microsoft Excel or similar tools for data manipulation and analysis.

  • Databases: SQL and other database management systems for accessing and managing large datasets.

  • Programming Languages: Python, R, or similar languages for advanced data analysis and automation.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that's fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
