Pay Range: $15-20/hour
Schedule: 5 days/week, 25-30 hours/week
Location: Newark Campus, Harker Lab
About the Department:
UDNF is a state-of-the-art cleanroom with 8,500 square feet divided into Class 100 and Class 1000 spaces located in the Harker ISE Lab. This facility is utilized by researchers from UD and other institutions on a pay-per-use basis. Maintaining the standards required for successful research involves regular cleaning and attention to detail by the Cleanroom Porter. Role Description:
The Cleanroom Porter is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the cleanroom appearance which involves mopping and vacuuming and wiping horizontal and vertical surfaces to maintain a white-glove standard of cleanliness. Other daily duties include emptying trash, maintaining clean tacky mats, and monitoring and restocking items routinely used in the cleanroom. The Cleanroom Porter will also assist customers entering the cleanroom with the gowning protocol and performed other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Seeking a self-motivated individual with attention to detail, strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to follow multi-step directions and adhere to established protocols.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom is not necessary, as thorough training will be provided.

Special Requirements:
The work environment requires wearing cleanroom garments as well as extensive safety training, which will both be provided. The individual will work closely with the staff of the cleanroom to ensure a clean and safe environment for all working in the facility. The position requires frequent standing, bending, crouching, stooping, climbing, reaching above shoulder level, and occasionally lifting 25-50 lbs.
