This is a remote position; however, employment is limited to residents of certain U.S. states due to legal, tax, and regulatory requirements. At this time, we cannot offer employment to individuals residing in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington, or U.S. territories. Eligibility is based an applicant's primary residence at time of hire.
Job Summary:
As a Utilization Management RN, you look to maximize the quality and cost-efficiency of health care services at ProMedica. You will complete reviews for admissions and transfers and apply payer rules to obtain authorizations.
You will work with physicians, nurses, and other members of the health care team to effectively allocate resources to ensure appropriate care. You will review cases and look for opportunities to improve hospital service utilization.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: Graduate of approved NLN accredited School of Nursing

  • Years of Experience: Minimum of 3 years acute care nursing experience

  • License: Current RN licensed in the state of hire

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: Bachelor's degree

  • Skills: Knowledge of insurance guidelines and federal, state, and local regulations. Experience with UR/UM in hospital acute care setting. Previous experience with case management, utilization review, and InterQual criteria
