What is a part time remote ophthalmology intern?

A Part Time Remote Ophthalmology Intern is a student or recent graduate who works with ophthalmologists or eye care organizations on a part-time basis, performing tasks and gaining experience related to eye health and vision care. The position is remote, meaning interns complete their work online or virtually rather than onsite. Typical responsibilities may include assisting with research, patient education, data entry, literature reviews, and supporting telehealth initiatives. While direct patient interaction may be limited remotely, you'll gain valuable exposure to the workflow of ophthalmic practices, learn about common eye conditions, and develop skills in telemedicine protocols. Interns often collaborate with physicians, technicians, and administrative staff, providing a well-rounded view of the field and opportunities to network for future career advancement.
