Job Summary
WNCC's Lifelong Learning Program offers a variety of community education classes to encourage community members throughout the Nebraska Panhandle to experience new areas of education, cultivate their interests, or enrich their personal or professional skills. We offer classes for kids, for seniors, and for everyone in between. Some classes are driven to enhance career or offer business training, including online via . And others are just meant to be fun and relaxing. Bottom line, we have a class for everyone.
This posting is for current and future Community Education Trainer positions. Please complete this application if you have an area of expertise that you would like to share with our communities. Applications will be considered for the applicant pool.
These trainer positions are casual, as needed positions. The pay may be paid per hour or per student, depending on the class.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Demonstrate thorough, accurate knowledge of the training content area.
  2. Plan, organize, and employ training in ways that maximize student learning and engagement.
  3. Modifies, where appropriate, training methods and strategies to meet diverse students' needs.
  4. Support College Policies and Procedures.
  5. Maintains confidentiality of student information using FERPA guidelines.
  1. Maintain professionalism including:
    1. Being punctual to class and avoid cancelling classes.
    2. Maintain respectful attitude toward students and colleagues.
    3. Maintains proper and professional/personal boundaries between colleagues and students.
