Job description

About us:

We are all about making kids have amazing birthday experiences and to enjoy every minute of it.  We are a fully remote team and enjoy collaborating with each other. We love growing our ability to provide a great service and to build a successful business.  Learning and growing is what we are all about.

About this role:

This role is the key that makes our whole system work.   From answering sales calls to sending out welcome emails, to ensuring that our staff is confirmed for their parties that weekend, this role is the behind the scenes work that enables us to delight our customers.

A typical week will start with a couple of hours spent reviewing the feedback from the most recent events and starting to plan how we are going to improve from the learnings.  Then get a couple of sales calls from customers who want to make sure it is right from then.

Then reviewing the staffing for that weekend and making sure that everything is clear.   Then checking on the business metrics and submitting people's hours into our payroll system.

Then on the weekends, if something goes wrong with the staffing of an event, you are there with the team, troubleshooting and ensuring that all of our Birthday children have a great experience.

About you:

You love checklists.

One of the center points of our business is that everything is a process.  Everything is a checklist. We do this so we can reliably earn parents' trust by providing amazing identical experiences.  And to improve those experiences over time, we look for changing things on the process level.  This is something that you are interested in getting better and better at over time.

You love children.

At the end of the day, the joy of this role is about enabling a group of people to have jobs they love and supporting them in delighting children.

You are at ease talking to customers.

For our customers who are choosing to select us for their event, you answering their call will be our first and most important touchpoint with them.  You enjoy these types of calls and are happy to assist them in answering their questions.

You love Minecraft.

From building to designing to playing, you love the game and really like seeing what people build. Playing around in creative mode is something you do for fun.

You have a flexible schedule.

As we are building the business this role would grow from a few hours per week to possibly full time in the future. If you already have some other work that this could supplement, that would be the best fit at this time.

If this sounds like you or someone you want to grow into, please reach out and say hello :)
