Job description

As the Best Buy Business Account Manager - Education, you will engage as a professional salesperson who has an entrepreneurial spirit, internal drive for success and sales skills that builds on a consultative selling process. As an Account Managers you will leverage the tools and resources provided by Best Buy and our vendor partners to build and maintain existing relationships with customers. You will prospect & generate new relationships, educate customers on our offerings and capabilities, produce credible opportunities and complete successful closure of solution sales, while building relationships. In this role there is a consultative sales process that requires you to have an entrepreneurial spirit and drive for success. You will work in a fast-paced role in an ever-changing environment. It requires you to multi-task at a moment's notice and have strong interpersonal skills when interacting with internal employees, external customers, vendors, and channel partners. As the  Account Manager I, you will receive a base pay plus performance-based commission.
This role is remote eligible, which means you would work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you'll do
  • Viewed as a trusted business advisor to the customer.
  • Analyzes multiple market factors to both anticipate/identify customer problems/needs and recommends appropriate solution.
  • Engages cross-functional resources, regardless of geographic location, in order to achieve goals and meet customer needs.
  • Effectively balances short term and long-term priorities.
  • Gains knowledge of and executes the use of internal and external resources (i.e. Navigator, Zoom info, CRM, QlikView)
  • Develops and implements account plans that drive the attainment of critical business objectives in the Education space.
  • Involved in contract negotiation and possesses strong financial/business and pricing knowledge.

Basic qualifications
  • 2 or more years phone based selling experience.
  • 2 or more years of experience prospecting clients
  • Must reside in Colorado or Illinois

Preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 or more years of experience prospecting clients in the Education industry
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft CRM, Navigator, Zoom Info or equivalent resources.
  • Experience selling off contracts, working with RFP, RFQ, RFI
