What is a part time remote executive?

Part time remote executive jobs are leadership positions, such as CEO, CFO, or Director roles, performed on a part-time basis and from a remote location rather than a traditional office. These roles typically involve overseeing teams, making strategic decisions, and driving business growth, but with flexible hours and the ability to work from anywhere. This setup is ideal for experienced professionals seeking work-life balance or companies needing executive expertise without a full-time commitment. Many organizations hire part-time remote executives for interim, consulting, or fractional leadership needs. The responsibilities and expectations may vary depending on the company's size and industry.

How do part time remote executives typically manage communication and collaboration with on-site leadership and teams?

Part Time Remote Executives often rely on a combination of scheduled video conferences, regular email updates, and collaborative online platforms to stay connected with on-site leadership and team members. Clear communication expectations and consistent check-ins are key to ensuring alignment on strategic goals and project progress. Most organizations provide remote executives with access to essential tools and resources, enabling them to participate in decision-making and lead effectively despite geographic distance. This collaborative approach helps maintain strong relationships and ensures that remote executives can contribute meaningfully while balancing their part-time schedules.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time remote executive, and why are they important?

To excel as a Part Time Remote Executive, you need strong leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making abilities, typically supported by a relevant degree and prior executive experience. Familiarity with digital collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, and project management platforms, as well as proficiency in using cloud-based business systems, is important. Exceptional communication, self-motivation, and time management are crucial soft skills for remote leadership. These competencies ensure effective oversight, alignment with organizational goals, and successful team management despite the challenges of remote work and limited hours.

About Us:

Since 2010, Engaging Minds has provided one-on-one support for students in grades 4-College to help them strengthen executive function skills such as time management, organization, planning, and follow-through. We believe in teaching students how to learn, not just what to learn and we equip them with strategies they can use across subjects to become more motivated, independent, and confident learners.

  • Submit session summaries via our internal system (EMChat) within 24 hours
  • Collaborate with our scheduling team and Learning Specialists to ensure student success

You're a Great Fit If You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience in teaching, special education, counseling, speech-language pathology, or similar
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A collaborative, coachable mindset with a passion for student development

Compensation:

  • $36 per student session: This includes a 55-minute session, completion of a post-session summary via EMChat, and schedule management after training.
  • For work performed outside of direct student sessions (including company-wide training and manager one-on-ones), pay is $15.00/hour or the minimum wage in your state of residence, whichever is higher.
