Job description

Tunnell Companies, LP, a leading Real Estate Management company based in Long Neck, Delaware, specializes in the development, construction, and maintenance of multiple resort and full-time residential communities. We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Night Shift Security Officer to ensure a safe and friendly environment for all residents, guests, and personnel. Join our team and contribute to the security and well-being of our vibrant communities. Shifts are from 9 pm - 7 am or 11 pm - 7 am. We have both Full-time and Part-time positions available.

Responsibilities
  • Patrol property to secure premises and personnel, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points, and permit entry
  • Report irregularities and inform violators of policy and procedures to prevent losses and damage
  • Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
  • Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises
  • Adhere to all company service and operating standards
  • Respond to emergency situations to provide necessary assistance to employees and residents
  • Protect the company's assets relative to theft, fire, and other safety issues
  • Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, patrolling premises regularly, traffic control, and accident investigations
  • Establish and enhance relationships with residents and guests, promoting Baywood Greens and Pot-Nets Communities
  • Interact professionally and effectively with residents and guests in a respectful manner, even when they are unruly
  • Assist other departments and personnel with security issues when needed
  • Complete Work Orders and log street light outages, notify on-call maintenance employees of emergency situations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with others
  • Basic computer skills
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, drive for long periods, and carry a 50-pound weight a distance of 50 feet, as well as open, close, and secure large gates and doors
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
