Job Responsibilities:
Pennoni is currently seeking part-time AWS Certified Welding Inspectors in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX for fabrication shops that produce bridge and highway products for transportation agencies with experience is consistent with, but not limited to:
  • Inspection of welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other materials
  • Monitoring work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications
  • Communicating and meeting with fabricators, clients, and engineers
  • Production of daily written shop reports

Required Attributes:
  • Minimum Education: High School
  • Minimum years of experience: 3
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work well independently and with others
  • Need reliable transportation

Preferred Attributes:
  • Experience performing QA/QC of bridge fabrication.
  • Non-Destructive Testing [NDT] certifications (e.g.: UT, MT, PT).
  • Experience performing QA/QC of bridge and highway structures fabrication.
  • AWS D1.1/D1.5 Experience.
  • Coating Inspection experience
