Job description

Sunland Group, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector for immediate placement on our contract with the City of San Antonio. The Inspector will perform technical combination inspections in three of the following disciplines: construction, electrical, mechanical and/or plumbing. They also enforce compliance with applicable codes, regulations, ordinances, and approved construction plans. This position is currently for 20 hours per week. There may be opportunities to increase that to full time in the next year.

Requirements:

  • Team player, excellent interpersonal skills, and a cooperative attitude
  • Three years of experience in performing inspections in the above areas
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret and clearly explain rules and standards to the clients, contractors, and public
  • Compliance with safety procedures and airport regulations
  • Knowledge of equipment, maintenance, repair and testing of electrical/mechanical/plumbing systems and materials
  • Responsible, ethical, and conscientious nature
  • Independent thinking and decision making
  • Multi-tasking
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
