The Public Relations Intern supports the day-to-day work of our PR team and gets hands-on experience across a variety of client accounts and campaigns. You'll work closely with designated teams and gain exposure to research, writing, media relations, events, and general account support.
This is a temporary part-time internship (approximately 15 hours per week), running from August 17 through May 7, compensated at $15 per hour. Located in Austin, TX - The role is hybrid, with in-office presence expected on a regular basis, along with some flexibility for remote work depending on team needs and schedule.

What You'll Do
  • Support monthly status reports and client wrap-up reports
  • Research media outlets and identify potential media opportunities for clients
  • Build and maintain media lists using Muck Rack
  • Draft media materials including cover letters, media alerts, and press content
  • Track, organize, and maintain press coverage and media hits
  • Support client events, including on-site staffing as needed
  • Assist with administrative and organizational tasks (digital and in-office)
What You'll Bring
  • Currently pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university, graduating within the next academic year
  • Preferred fields of study: Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, Digital Media, Communications, or related areas
  • Strong written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable using Google Workspace and social media platforms
  • Self-starter who can work independently and also collaborate with a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
  • Genuinely curious about PR and excited to learn the craft
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
