Job description

Are you a Psychologist who is looking for a part-time or full-time hybrid position with an impactful mental health program?
If so - you are encouraged to apply for an available position with Liberty Healthcare.
Liberty Healthcare operates a specialized forensic mental health program within the West Valley Detention Center - a county jail operated by the San Bernardino County Sheriff.
This is an award-winning and cutting-edge program which provides high quality assessment and treatment services to adults who are justice involved, experiencing mental illness, and deemed incompetent to stand trial.
As a Forensic Psychologist with Liberty, your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting mental status examinations
  • Formulating diagnoses
  • Evaluating patients for competency to stand trial
  • Writing comprehensive reports
  • Occasionally providing court testimony
  • Collaborating with psychiatrists, nurses, mental health clinicians and ancillary professionals
  • Actively participating in staff meetings, case conferences, and treatment planning
  • Performing risk assessments and crisis management assistance

This is a hybrid position which will allow you to work partially remotely from your home office and require you to partially work onsite at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
You have the option to work a flexible part-time schedule or full-time schedule with a compressed four-day workweek or a traditional five-day workweek.
As a full-time employee of Liberty Healthcare, you can expect:
  • Starting salary range of $110,000 to $125,000 (depending on qualifications)

  • 30 days of cumulative paid time off annually for holidays, vacation, sick and personal time

Skills & Requirements
You are a good fit for this position if you are licensed professionally in California as a Psychologist.
Training and/or experience evaluating and treating forensic patients is preferred but not required.
