Job description

Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students by providing psychological services in a welcoming school environment. This full-time contract role begins with maternity leave coverage at two elementary schools—one with specialized programming—working 37.5 hours per week from Monday through Friday. The start dates are flexible, with one assignment beginning in November (pending medical clearance) through early May, while the other runs February through early June of the following year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in School Psychology or a related field
  • Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential
  • Experience supporting elementary-aged students preferred, especially in specialized or adaptive programs
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
  • Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to partner seamlessly with teachers and staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and participate in eligibility determination meetings
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Deliver direct and indirect psychological services to students with diverse needs, including social-emotional and behavioral support
  • Consult with teachers, families, and administrators to foster a positive educational environment
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines
  • Contribute expertise to RTI/MTSS processes and support proactive intervention strategies
