Job description

Four Winds Hospital is the leading provider of specialized behavioral health inpatient and outpatient treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. We invite you to join our Four Winds Family.

We are seeking a Psychological Testing Technician to work with our patients in the administration and scoring of psychological and neuropsychological tests.

The job is in-person onsite at our Westchester Campus in Katonah, NY.

Job highlights:

  • Part Time. 30 hours over the course of 2 weeks. Typically 8:00am-6:00pm. Alternating one day one week and two days the following week.
  • Responsible for the management of patients who are referred for psychological testing.
  • Escort patients to and from the testing center, interviewing patients, and administering standardized psychometric measures under the direct supervision of a licensed psychologist.
  • Participate in the assessment of children, adolescents, and adults. (experience with all three age groups is desirable)
  • Work with psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, licensed mental health counselors, nursing staff, and other professionals. (experience working with multiple allied disciplines is also desirable)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field and some experience working with psychiatric patients required.
  • Master’s degree in some area of psychology strongly preferred.
  • While experience with psychological tests is desirable it is not required, as detailed training will be provided in all of the instruments used in this setting, and technicians will receive close supervision on an ongoing basis.

Salary:

Starting hourly rate between $22 and $24 an hour commensurate with experience.
