About Us
Shapiro Plastic Surgery and Skin Klinic combines Dr. Shapiro's plastic surgery practice and Paradise Valley Skin Klinic under one roof - offering a convenient destination for patients' aesthetic needs. The entire staff exemplifies compassion and kindness, with everyone working towards the same goal - which is to provide the highest level of aesthetic care in a warm and welcoming environment. We are recruiting for a part-time Clinic RN.
Summary/Objective
The Clinic RN provides high-quality patient care in both clinical and cosmetic settings. This role involves supporting a plastic surgeon and clinical staff, performing patient assessments, providing patient education, managing pre- and post-operative care, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for all patients.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Clinical & Patient Care
  • Perform patient assessments, including reviewing medical history, taking vital signs, and screening for procedure eligibility.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgical procedures.
  • Prepare patients and clinical treatment areas prior to procedures; maintain sterile and safe work environments.
  • Monitor patients during and after treatments to identify and respond to complications or adverse reactions.
  • Assist surgeon during consultations and in-office procedures as needed.
  • Support patient follow-up via phone or in person for recovery monitoring & education.

Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, treatment plans, consents, and charting in the electronic health record.
  • Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and state nursing practice regulations.

Patient Education & Communication
  • Educate patients about procedures, expected outcomes, risks, aftercare instructions, and appropriate skincare regimens.
  • Address patient questions and concerns professionally and compassionately.

Clinic Operations & Team Collaboration
  • Assist with clinic workflow by preparing treatment rooms, ordering and restocking supplies, and coordinating patient schedules.

Required Qualifications
  • Current, active Arizona RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and patient-focused interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN degree
  • Prior experience in aesthetic nursing, plastic surgery, dermatology, or related clinical practice (2+ years preferred).
  • Knowledge of EMR software and clinic systems.

Schedule
  • Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
