Job description

Employment Opportunity:

Hotel Security Officer (Part Time)

United Security Services, Inc., a national security company, is seeking professional part-time Security Officer for an upscale hotel in the Downtown Houston area.

Requirements for this Position:

  • At least 2 years of public safety or private security experience.
  • Have excellent customer service skills and sound judgement.
  • Schedule adherence and punctuality.
  • Must be proficient with interacting, communicating and working jointly with a hotel staff.
  • Must have the availability and flexible to work any day, including weekends and holidays, and any work shift based on the operational needs of the hotel and occasionally getting off at 2AM during the evening shifts.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and parking garage ramps and stand, walk for long periods of time
  • Texas Security license 1 or 2.
  • Basic working knowledge of conducting incident investigations and report writing in a computer.
  • Reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualities and Skills for this Position:

  • Knowledgeable in the key aspects of private security including, but not limited to: Handling hotel security tasks, responding to emergencies, preparing incident reports, reviewing CCTV footage, etc.
  • Knowledgeable in Morse Watchmans Keywatcher system.
  • Knowledge in Saflok system.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn security software applications.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the hospitality industry and the related nomenclature.


The hourly wage for this position starts at $17.51
