Job description

Shipping Forklift Operator is responsible to operate powered industrial trucks and various other pieces of equipment to load and unload Lumber Units to and from the Shipping Containers and Flatbed Trailers, loading docks, load rough material units for processing and unload finished goods and transport them to the warehouse for storage. Maintain and organize lumber inventory. This position is Part time.

      • Minimum 1 year of experience working as a forklift operator in a warehouse or distribution center
      • Ability to lift, carry, and move products up to 50 lb
      • Willingness and ability to work in cold environments. Proper cold-weather clothing and gear will be provided. 
      • A valid forklift certification is an asset. 
      • Strong organizational and time-management skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in stocking and inventory management.
      • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively 
      • Flexible to work rotational shift , including evenings, weekends
      • Move Finished Goods and Keep inventory organized.
      • Operate Forklifts Safely and be aware of surroundings.
      • Inspect Forklift daily and fill out proper inspection sheet.
      • Follow all practices, policies, procedures and manufacturing specifications
      • Effectively and accurately utilize DSI system by scanning and confirming of product as it moves through inventory.
      • Load and unload truck in accordance with orders scheduled for the day
      • Keep area clean and up to RKI and SQF Standards.
