Job Description
As a FOH Server amp; Beer Pourer, you are the face of Half Brothers. You will guide guests through our current tap list, pour with precision, serve food, and ensure everyone who walks through our doors feels like family. Whether you are explaining the flavor profile of a new IPA or keeping the bar area spotless, your energy sets the tone for our taproom.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Welcome guests warmly, answer questions about our beer and food menus, and provide excellent recommendations based on customer preferences.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of our draft lineup. Pour beers to company standards (proper head, correct glassware) and serve them efficiently.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders using our POS (Point of Sale) system, handle cash and card transactions, and manage tabs.
  • Deliver food and drinks to tables, check in on guests throughout their visit, and promptly clear/bus tables to keep the floor moving smoothly.
  • Keep the bar, seating areas, and restrooms clean and organized. Change kegs as needed and assist with restocking glassware, merchandise, and inventory.
  • Strictly verify customer identification to ensure legal drinking age and practice responsible alcohol service.
PERFERRED MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience in a restaurant, bar, or brewery taproom is preferred, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
  • A passion for craft beer is a must; basic knowledge of beer styles (IPAs, stouts, sours, lagers) is highly preferred.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain required local alcohol server training/certification (e.g., TIPS or local municipal requirements).
    • Alcohol service certification.
    • ServSafe certification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-first mindset.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift and move objects up to 30 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by taproom traffic.
  • Need to be 21 years of age
