  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Boarded in appropriate specialty. Upon Hire Required and
  • Completion of a residency. Upon Hire Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Teaching skills.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Good phone skills.

About the Opportunity:

  • Inpatient coverage for a 9-bed pediatric unit and a Newborn Nursery
  • Manage pediatric admissions at York Hospital and provide pediatric consults for Emergency Medicine and across the health system
  • About the Nursery - Level I nursery supported by a Level III NICU, Newborns 22 weeks and above
  • Shifts: Nursery shifts: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Hospital shifts: 24-hour shifts or 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
    • .5 FTE = 20 hours/week (averaged)
    • Night call taken from home
    • Ability to combine night shift and nursery coverage
