Job description

Are you an experienced Tax Accountant who wants to stay in public accounting without committing to a traditional full-time schedule. A flex schedule can include reduced hours for the work week, summers off or arranging your schedule around other priorities.

Mohle Adams is looking for a Part-Time Tax Accountant (up to 29 hours per week) with capability to work a flex schedule. A Tax Professional reports directly to a Tax Manager and has varied duties and assignments. Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare complex tax returns, such as partnership returns with special allocations, trust and estate returns, or multi-state returns.
  • Review staff work and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues, managers, and partners
  • Communicate with the client in writing or on the telephone
  • Identify issues and planning opportunities during tax return preparation
  • Research complex federal or state tax issues as needed
  • Seek on-going skill development and training
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting

• CPA eligible (CPA preferred)

• 4 - 5+ years of tax compliance experience in public accounting with progressively more complex returns
