Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, You will:ย 

  • Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy servicesย 
  • Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voicesย 
  • Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capabilityย 
  • Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessionsย 
  • Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policyย 
Qualifications
  • Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
  • A minimum of one (1) year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
