A senior nursing student under the supervision of a Registered Nurse will assist in providing direct and/or indirect care of the patient.

Will consider a nursing student (RN or LPN) within one year of graduating from an accredited nursing program.

Department Position Summary:
The NICU Nurse Tech 1 serves as a unit clerk by answering the telephone, screening and verifying all visitors who enter in the unit while maintaining and completing clerical responsibilities as required. Responsible for stocking department supplies, maintaining par levels, as well as cleaning designated NICU equipment and unit specific areas. Must be able to communicate effectively and adapt to the constantly changing workload related to increase volume and acuity. The Nurse Tech 1 may also perform non-licensed patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, may be floated to work in other areas of Children's and utilized as a sitter.
