Unit Overview:  

Labor and Delivery is a 16room highacuity unit dedicated to caring for laboring mothers and providing advanced maternal care in a Level III Perinatal Center of Excellence. The unit specializes in managing highrisk pregnancies and deliveries and is equipped to function across multiple levels of care, including ICU, emergency, medicalsurgical, and operative support. The department includes 16 labor and delivery rooms, five triage rooms, two preoperative rooms, two PACU bays, and two operating room suites to support emergent and planned cesarean deliveries. Care is delivered by a highly skilled, interdisciplinary team supported by one patient care technician per shift, ensuring continuous monitoring, rapid response, and safe outcomes for both highrisk mothers and infants in a fastpaced, critical care environment.

Qualifications:

Requires a Diploma in nursing or an ASN/BSN

Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license required. CPR certification.

Additional certifications may be required for specified areas.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds. (Lifting requirements may be heavier for specified departments.) Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
