Description:

The Floral Designer is responsible for creating artistic, high-quality floral arrangements that enhance the visual appeal and retail Customer experience within the Floral department at Plum Market. This role brings creativity, efficiency, and attention to detail to all design work, from seasonal production to custom orders. The Floral Designer also supports general department operations, collaborates with the team, and upholds merchandising standards. This position reports to the Floral Team Leader and assists with all tasks necessary to maintain a fresh, inviting, and inspiring floral department.

You are creative, artistic, and passionate about floral design.

You have at least two years of experience creating floral arrangements across various styles.

You model and deliver exceptional retail Customer Service with enthusiasm and care.

You are detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects.

You are proactive, adaptable, and enjoy working in a collaborative retail environment.

What you will bring:

Expertise in floral design, with strong knowledge of product care and seasonal trends.

Ability to produce both custom and production floral arrangements with creativity and consistency.

Comfort working in a fast-paced retail setting with shifting priorities.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Availability to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break, bend and stoop to grasp objects, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and push/pull carts up to 100 lbs. unassisted.

What you will do:

Deliver exceptional Customer Service by creating custom and ready-made floral arrangements that exceed expectations.

Design and build floral displays for retail cases, merchandising areas, and special events.

Assist with receiving and processing floral shipments, maintaining freshness and quality.

Collaborate with team members on seasonal resets, department organization, and merchandising initiatives.

Support training and share product knowledge with fellow Team Members.

Communicate clearly with Customers, Team Members, and Store Leadership.

Maintain department cleanliness, safety, and organization throughout each shift.

Uphold all Plum Market policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.
