Job description

Who We Are:

We believe a workplace food program is something employees should love and look forward to every day. Powered by technology and a network of over 2,000 restaurants, Fooda feeds hungry people at work through our ongoing food programs located within companies and office buildings. Every day, each Fooda location is served by a different restaurant that comes onsite and serves fresh lunch from their chef’s unique menu. Fooda operates in over 20 major US cities and continues its expansion across the United States. Eight out of ten employees believe Fooda is one of their company’s top perks.

Fooda is currently recruiting for a part time Event Coordinator in our Memphis market. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a hospitality or events background who are eager to learn about food service, work with great customers, and support a broad network of excellent local restaurants.
Part-time opportunity supporting a busy Fooda client location in the Memphis area!

We’re looking for someone who is hospitality-minded, hands-on, and ready to work in a high-energy outdoor environment. You’ll be onsite and actively involved in everything from setting up the space and supporting our restaurant partners to engaging with customers and cleaning up at the end of service.

This is a busy, active location in a construction-site-type environment, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable being outdoors, on their feet, and engaged throughout their shift.

The right person notices the details, jumps in without being asked, stays positive when things get busy, and understands how to create a welcoming customer experience in a unique environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Support the onsite execution of Fooda events, including setup, restaurant support, customer experience, breakdown, and cleanup

  • Prepare the service area and make sure it is clean, organized, professional, and ready for customers

  • Welcome our local restaurant partners onsite and assist them with setup and operational needs

  • Interact with customers throughout service and provide friendly, proactive hospitality

  • Keep service areas, equipment, and surrounding spaces clean and organized throughout the shift

  • Monitor restaurant setups to ensure Fooda standards for presentation, cleanliness, and overall experience are consistently met

  • Problem-solve onsite issues such as late restaurant arrivals, missing or incorrect items, equipment needs, and other service challenges

  • Learn and confidently use Fooda’s technology, systems, and standard operating procedures

  • Communicate issues and updates to the Operations Manager and escalate when additional support is needed

  • Jump in wherever needed to keep service moving smoothly at this busy location

This is an active, hands-on position. You should be comfortable being on your feet for the duration of your shift, setting up and breaking down service areas, moving supplies and equipment, cleaning, and pitching in wherever needed.

Schedule & Availability

This location operates seven days a week with two primary shift windows:

  • Day Shift: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM

  • Night Shift: 9:00 PM–1:00 AM

We are especially looking for candidates who can work nights and weekends, as these are our highest-priority shifts. Candidates with flexibility to work across multiple days and shift times are strongly preferred.

Work Environment

This position is outdoors at an active, construction-site-type location with a high volume of activity.

Candidates must be comfortable:

  • Working outdoors for up to four hours at a time

  • Being on their feet and active throughout the shift

  • Working around an active construction-site environment

  • Working in a busy, fast-paced setting with significant activity around them

  • Maintaining a professional, welcoming food service experience even when the environment gets hectic

  • Working both daytime and nighttime shifts as scheduled

Who You Are
  • You genuinely enjoy hospitality, customer service, and working with people

  • You are friendly, professional, energetic, and comfortable interacting with customers and restaurant partners

  • You are hands-on and willing to set up, clean, move supplies, break down events, and help wherever needed

  • You are comfortable working outdoors and understand that weather conditions can vary

  • You thrive in a busy, fast-moving environment

  • You have a strong eye for detail and take pride in keeping your area clean, organized, and professional

  • You are proactive and notice what needs attention without always waiting to be asked

  • You are dependable, punctual, and comfortable taking ownership of your work

  • You are resourceful, remain composed under pressure, and enjoy solving problems in the moment

  • You are organized, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator

  • You are comfortable with technology and can quickly learn new systems and procedures

  • Previous restaurant, catering, serving, banquet, event, food service, or hospitality experience is strongly preferred

  • Night and weekend availability is strongly preferred

What We’ll Hook You Up With
  • Competitive pay: $18–$21/hour, based on experience

  • Free food!

  • Paid time off

  • 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with company match

  • Long-term opportunities for advancement within Fooda

  • Opportunities to work with and build relationships with great local restaurants

  • A fast-paced, rewarding work environment where you can make an impact every shift
