We are seeking a motivated and experienced Outdoor Lighting Crew Lead to oversee installation projects, ensure top-notch quality and safety standards, and lead our dedicated crew to success. Job Overview:
The Outdoor Lighting Crew Lead will be responsible for managing and supervising a team of technicians and installers on outdoor lighting projects. This role requires excellent knowledge of outdoor lighting systems, a strong work ethic, and the ability to motivate and lead a crew to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of lighting technicians to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Oversee the installation of outdoor lighting systems, including architectural lighting, landscape lighting, hardscape lighting, and water feature lighting.
  • Ensure all installations adhere to local codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to lighting systems, wiring, and electrical components.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations and site assessments for project planning and execution.
  • Train crew members on proper installation techniques, equipment handling, and safety practices.
  • Communicate with clients to ensure their expectations are met, including addressing concerns and providing guidance on maintenance.
  • Ensure proper inventory and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Keep accurate documentation of project progress, team hours, and materials used.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in outdoor lighting installation, electrical systems, or related field (landscape construction, hardscape construction, irrigation construction).
  • 2+ years in proven leadership experience in managing a crew, preferably in an outdoor or construction environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Ability to read blueprints, electrical diagrams, and project plans.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Clean drug screen.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Work history with verifiable references
  • Up to 50% travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of low voltage outdoor lighting systems, wiring, transformers, and control systems.
  • Electrical certification or relevant training.
