The ARC of the Treasure Coast, a diverse and progressive non-profit organization assisting and supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, is seeking an Out-of-School Counselor for our after-school program.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide care and supervision to children during community outings while participating in the Out-of-School ARC program and summer school program.
  • Offer age-appropriate activities that promote communication, behavioral, and social skills.
  • Support individuals in developing independent living skills.
  • Inform the supervisor regularly regarding the progress of individuals.
  • Attend skill improvement training opportunities.
  • Complete the required documentation for performance measurements in the Children's Services Council grant.
  • Provide transportation using ARC vehicles for scheduled program activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED (or enrollment in High School or vocational program).
  • Preferred: One (1) year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
