Principles and Practices of Optometry-1 Lab Instructor (Part Time Position)


The New England College of Optometry invites applications for a limited part-time faculty position. The qualified applicant will have an appointment in the Principles and Practices of Optometry course.


Teaching responsibilities include precepting laboratories, grading clinical skill examinations and guiding students during instructed clinical practice at the Clinical Training Center at 424 Beacon Street Boston MA affiliated with the New England College of Optometry. 


The hourly rate for this position is $55/hour.


Hours include:

- 8-10am and/or 10am-12noon on Wednesday September 9th , 16th , 23rd , October 7th , 14th , 28th , November 7th , 11th , 18th , and December 2nd and 9th


- 8-10am and/or 10am-12noon on Thursday September 10th , 17th , 24th , October 8th , 15th , 29th , November 8th , 12th , 19th , and December 3rd and 10th


At the time of the appointment, the successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Optometry degree (O.D.) and have or be eligible to obtain a Massachusetts Optometry License with TPA certification. Preference will be given to candidates with related experience, who have completed an accredited optometric residency or have equivalent patient care and/or teaching experience.
