Part-time (24 Hours Weekly), Days (7am-7pm)

Weekend Only Work (WOW)

Job Duties:

In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

About the Unit:

The Neuro Intermediate Unit (NIU) is a 41-bed unit specializing in both Neuroscience and Progressive Care (PCU) step-down nursing. With excellent nurse-to-patient ratios (3-4:1), our team provides exceptional, high-quality care to adult patients. Our 41-bed unit is composed of 15 Neuro specific beds and 26 intermediate specific beds; we work as an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide high quality patient and staff centric care with the full support of our providers and support staff. Our team is supported with 24/7 leadership on the unit including two clinical coordinators available on dayshift & nightshift and a stoke coordinator. Common neuroscience cases include ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, TIAs, seizure/epilepsy, degenerative disorders, autoimmune disorders, and central nervous system disorders.As a certified Primary Stroke Center, our team has been recognized as a state-of-the-art stroke care center. Our team continues building the reputation as the unit that everyone wants to be a part of-the one new graduate nurses, or those planning a career in healthcare talk about for its exceptional teamwork, clinical expertise, and supportive environment. Qualifications:

Current Indiana or compact state RN license.

BLS for healthcare provider required.

ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 6 months of hire).

NIHSS certification required (obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
