Overview

Theย Maintenanceย Workerย will perform a variety of skilled and unskilled activities involved in the operation and maintenance of the facility's general operations.ย ย 

This role will pay an hourly rate of $22.00 to $24.00

This position will remain open until September 4, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Maintainย andย make repairs toย the venueย as assigned.ย ย 
  • Complete work orders in aย well-established preventative maintenance system for the facility and all equipment.ย 
  • Record and log all work performed, complete work order slips and compile all required reports inย a timelyย and complete manner.ย 
  • Maintain walls (interior and exterior) of entire complex including all drywall repairs, sanding, and repainting.ย 
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered in the course of employment.ย 
  • Frequent bending, carrying, moving, climbing, working from various heights, lifting heavy objects, sitting, exposure to moderate to loud noises, extensive walking through the building.ย 
  • Operate equipment such as light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, scrubbing machines or other light power-driven equipment.ย 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • 1 year of full-time experience at a facility, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.ย ย 
  • Knowledge of and ability to use power tools and hand tools.ย ย ย 
  • Must hold a valid Driver's License.ย ย 
  • Understand the methods, principles, and practices required for the operation and maintenance of the mechanical and electrical systems.ย ย ย 
  • Familiar withย maintenanceย operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event-relatedย servicesย and technical requirements for the types of eventsย anticipatedย at the facilityย is preferred.ย ย 
  • Understanding of door hardware, locks, key machine, door closers, etc.ย 
  • Possess any licenses, certificates, or training required by local, state, or national authorities for the operation of the equipment found in the facility.ย 
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and other related materials.ย 
  • Ability to follow and adhere to all safety precautions, building codes, rules, regulations, risk management and emergency procedures.ย 
  • Ability toย operateย equipment such as light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, scrubbing machines or other light power-driven equipment.ย 
  • Ability toย operateย monitoring controls and a personal computer (light use) using 24/7 Work Order System Windows and Microsoft Office software E-mail.ย 
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.ย 
  • Experience in stadiums, arenas, and/or convention centers is preferred.ย ย 
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, days, evenings, holidays, extended (long) workdays for an extended number of days as needed.ย 
  • Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditionsย
