Job description

Culligan is currently seeking an individual experienced in customer-focused positions to act as an Office Manager/HR Assistant. This position is responsible for managing and supervising the business office functions at Culligan in Libertyville. This position responsibilities include handling and managing questions/inquiries from our employees, vendor liaison, uses professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Determines a course of action based on guidelines and modifies processes and methods as required. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Applies learned techniques and contributes to analysis and investigation to solve problems.

Responsibilities:

  •      Handle sensitive and confidential matters, including employee relations, organizational changes, and compliance with labor laws.
  •      Diligently works toward the completion of special projects, request, and assignments as appropriate.
  •      Assists in Onboarding and Orientation: Prepares offer letters, initiates onboarding process and manages progress of candidates and manager tasks.
  •      Greets and Assists visitors/customers and enables key cards as requested from employees and vendors.
  •      Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritizes, and keeps track of deadlines in a busy environment with high traffic working independently, and as part of a team.
  •      Oversee maintenance of office facilities by coordinating repairs and managing relationships with service providers.
  •      Prepares requests as needed by working with hiring manager to compile information that is needed.
  •      Ensures employee files are maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
  •      Plans and executes employee engagement events.
  • Have the ability to dig in and troubleshoot problems, following through to resolution.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
  • Must abide by all company policies as contained in the company employee handbook.

    Requirements:

    •     Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or a related field or two (2) years of experience with business office functions; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    •      Strong time management and project management skills.
    •      Excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, and analytical skills.
    •      Proficient in Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook).
    •      Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    •      Must be resourceful and persistent.
    • 20-25 hours per week- Preferably- 4 days in the office for 5 hours per day but willing to be flexible.
