Job description

NOW HIRING
Administrative Assistant
Wilmington, DE • $16.00–$18.00/Hour • Part-Time • Mon/Wed/Fri, 9AM–2PM
Staffing Assignment through Goodwill® Staffing Services

Are you organized, personable, and ready to be part of a team that helps people live independently with dignity? We are looking for a reliable Administrative Assistant to keep the office of an apartment complex running smoothly. This is a great opportunity to bring your administrative and customer service skills to a role where the work truly matters, in a supportive, professional environment.
What You'll Do
  • Answer phones and emails, greet residents, visitors, and prospective tenants, and process incoming mail.
  • Assist with resident inquiries, work orders, and service requests.
  • Maintain resident files and ensure accurate record keeping.
  • Assist with applications, leases, lease renewals, and move-in/move-out paperwork.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and notices as directed by management.
  • Assist with check or money order rent payments.
  • Coordinate appointments and vendor visits.
  • Assist with marketing efforts and online property listings.
  • Maintain office supplies and administrative records.
  • Support the Associate Executive Director/Finance Manager with daily operations and special projects.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of administrative, office, customer service, or property management experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Leasing or property management experience preferred — but not required.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations a plus.
  • Customer service and conflict-resolution skills a plus.
What We Offer
  • A predictable, part-time schedule — Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9AM–2PM.
  • A professional, supportive office environment.
  • The opportunity to make a real difference in residents' daily lives.

Why This Role Matters
A well-run office is the backbone of a community where residents feel safe, supported, and heard. Without a reliable, organized Administrative Assistant, the day-to-day details that keep an apartment complex running smoothly can easily fall through the cracks. In this role, you won't just be handling paperwork — you'll be a familiar, trusted face for residents with disabilities who depend on a stable, well-managed home. If you show up, stay organized, and bring genuine care to your work, you'll make a lasting difference here.
