Job description

Job Summary
We are looking for a part-time Occupational Health Nurse to support our onsite clinic efforts in Aurora, IL.
The Occupational Health Nurse will provide Occupational Medicine Services to Company employees including the integration of the full spectrum of health services program.
Schedule: 3 days per week 7:00am - 4:30pm (27 hours per week).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide Occupational Medicine Services to Company employees, including the integration of the full spectrum of health services programs.
  • Provide Injury/ illness/ incident medical care and reporting per site protocols.
  • Coordination and fulfillment of required medical compliance exams (e.g., pre-placement, customer required, medical surveillance).
  • Provide absence management services to employees who are out of work on either personal or work-related disability, including return to work and transitional return to work program management.
  • Utilize site's transitional work programs.
  • Collaborate with Environmental Health & Safety team to provide training and support for medical emergency response.
  • Support Health and Wellbeing goals and initiatives.
  • Performs additional duties and assumes additional responsibilities as identified by supervisor for the efficient operation of Client Operations.

Education and Experience
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid Illinois RN license.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing is highly preferred.
  • 3 years' experience in the management of occupational services preferred.
  • COHN-S and CCM certification preferred.
  • CPR, AED, and BBP certification required. Instructor certification preferred.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong computer skills: Must be competent in the Windows operating system environment and Microsoft Office Suite and learn other software as needed.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, problem solving, and decision making.
  • Must have the ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Take initiative on issues that arise daily.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a professional approach with others in job-demanding, multitasking and/or project support situations.
  • Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors, employees and clients.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to meet and exceed daily and weekly individual performance goals.
  • Ability to work independently as well as assisting other team members when needed.
  • Requires regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.

Computer Skills
  • Must be competent in the Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and learn other software as needed.

Physical Demands
  • Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk.
  • Working under stress and use of computer/phone required.
  • Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard.
  • Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch; Some bending and stretching could be required.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds and climb stairs.
  • Ability to kneel for extended periods of time while rendering emergency care and/or CPR.

Work Environment
  • Mainly indoor, office environment conditions.
  • May involve exposure to industrial manufacturing environments, including noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.

This position has an hourly pay range of $33 - $44 per hour. Final compensation rate for this position depends on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
