The Southgate Mall Noodle Express is hiring Line cooks!

Our close-knit team of line cooks work together to produce high quality food in a fast-paced environment that takes pride in its teamwork and organization. If you are looking for a challenging, fun, and rewarding career in food service, we would love for you to join our team!

Noodle express offers flexible schedules and a base wage of $13-15* an hour, with a recent average of an additional $6-$8/hour thanks to our generous tip pool. Line cooks are responsible for preparing food for customers in a fast-paced and efficient manner. They work in conjunction with the cashiering staff to ensure that orders are accurate and delivered promptly. Line cooks must be able to follow recipes and instructions, as well as be able to work independently and as part of a team. They must also be able to handle high volumes of work and have to ability to work and remain calm under pressure. Line cooks are a vital part of our successful restaurant team!

Line Cook responsibilities:

  • Completing food prep duties such as
  • Cleaning and cutting ingredients for use
  • Preparing sauces for use within the restaurant
  • Assisting with kitchen station set up and stocking
  • Cleaning and maintaining prep areas and kitchenware as needed
  • Working with front of house staff to ensure orders fulfill guest's requests
  • Cooking food in your station in a timely and effective manner
  • Plating dishes based on guidance from a senior team member

Line Cook Requirements:

  • The ability to safely life, move, and place objects that weigh 50lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • The ability to reach, bend, and twist as needed
  • Ability to use hands to control, feel, and operate tools and objects
  • Experience within a kitchen environment
  • Able to follow recipes accurately and to make adjustments as needed to fulfill guests' specifications

In 1992, the first Noodle Express was introduced at Southgate Mall located in Missoula, Montana. We've since expanded to have locations across the Inland Northwest with locations in Montana, Northern Idaho, and Washington.

We're especially proud of our in-house sauces at Noodle Express, as well as our commitment to using fresh ingredients, and our dedication to providing exceptional service. We're able to be proud of all of this because of the hard work put in by our amazing team members.
