Part-time models often juggle modeling assignments alongside other jobs, school, or personal commitments. Scheduling flexibility is key, as last-minute casting calls and shoots can sometimes conflict with other obligations. Additionally, part-time models may need to manage their own bookings, transportation, and preparation without the full support systems available to full-time models. Good organizational skills and clear communication with agencies and clients help ensure a smoother experience and maximize opportunities.

What are part time models?

Part time models are individuals who work in the modeling industry on a flexible or non-full-time basis, often alongside other jobs, studies, or commitments. They may participate in photo shoots, fashion shows, promotional events, or advertising campaigns, but do not model as their primary career. This type of modeling offers flexibility and allows people to gain experience or supplement their income without committing to a traditional full-time modeling schedule.

Part time modeling can potentially earn $10,000 a month, especially for those with a strong portfolio, social media presence, or niche appeal. Success depends on the type of modeling, client demand, and individual effort, often requiring self-promotion and networking rather than formal education.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Part Time Model, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Model, you need a well-groomed appearance, an understanding of posing and body movement, and the ability to follow direction, with prior modeling experience or a portfolio being highly beneficial. Familiarity with booking platforms, photo shoot environments, and sometimes basic photo editing software is often required. Professionalism, punctuality, and strong interpersonal skills help models stand out and build positive relationships with clients and photographers. These skills ensure models can effectively represent brands, adapt to various assignments, and maintain a strong reputation in a competitive industry.

Benefits:
  • Opportunity for advancement
  • Flexible schedule
  • Training & development

Looking for a flexible therapy role that fits your life?
At Ellie Mental Health, we've created a part-time model that allows fully licensed clinicians to do meaningful clinical work without the pressure of full-time caseloads or heavy administrative burden.
Whether you're balancing family life, another role, or just want a more sustainable pace-this role is designed with flexibility in mind.
What You'll Love About This Role
  • Flexible scheduling - build a schedule that works for you (days, evenings, weekends or a mix)
  • Strong referral pipeline - most clients are provided, making it easy to build and maintain a part-time caseload
  • Minimal administrative burden - billing, and referrals are handled for you
  • Clinical autonomy - practice the way you were trained, using modalities that fit your clients
  • Supportive, collaborative team environment
  • Comfortable, fully furnished offices
  • Opportunity to grow into full-time if desired

Compensation
  • Competitive per-session compensation
  • Consistent referrals to support income stability
  • Additional earning potential based on caseload

(We're happy to discuss specific compensation details during the interview process.)
What You'll Do
  • Provide outpatient therapy to individuals, couples, and/or families
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation (intakes, treatment plans, progress notes)
  • Collaborate with other providers and support systems as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and trainings (as applicable to part-time role)

Who You Are
  • Fully licensed therapist (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent in Wisconsin)
  • Master's degree in a behavioral health field from an accredited program
  • Interested in a flexible, part-time clinical role
  • Comfortable working with a diverse client population
  • Organized and timely with documentation
  • Values collaboration and being part of a supportive team

Independent franchisees are Equal Opportunity employers committed to diverse and inclusive workforces. Franchisees are independent business people and not employed by Ellie Family Services, PLLP, d/b/a "Ellie Mental Health", Ellie MSO, LLC, or Ellie FAM LLC. Thus, each franchisee and each franchisee clinic is unique and the franchisee is alone responsible for all employment matters in their clinic, including the terms and conditions of employment for their employees, such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing and scheduling. Depending on the clinic location you select, the job for which you apply may be in a clinic owned and operated by an independent franchisee, and not with the corporate-owned clinics, which are based in Minnesota. This means the franchisee, not Ellie Family Services, PLLP, is responsible for all employment matters at the clinic. If you are hired for the job, the franchisee will be your employer, not Ellie Family Services, PLLP or any of its affiliated entities. For franchisee clinic locations, please contact the franchisee organization directly to the extent you need assistance in completing forms or otherwise participating in that franchisee's application process.
Flexible work from home options available.
Compensation: $33,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
Seeking creative & collaborative humans with a passion for changing mental health care in fun and meaningful ways
Don't meet EVERY requirement?
Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. Ellie Mental Health is devoted to purposefully building an inclusive and diverse workplace where all of our humans can be their authentic selves! (Authenticity is one of our core values, after all...) If you're excited about the chance to be a change-maker with us, but your past experience doesn't perfectly align with every single qualification of the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. Our mental health jobs need dedicated individuals from every background who are willing to care for others. And who knows, you might just be the perfect candidate for another role!
Employee Experience
We take care of our people. It's that simple. From investing in their financial future, to providing wages that shatter the ceiling in our industry to reasonable caseload expectations we ensure that our people are happy. Happy employees do better work and provide better client care! No matter what it is that you do in your mental health career at Ellie, our clients depend on us cultivating an environment where our employees can thrive so that they can thrive too!
Y'all, jobs in mental health are tough jobs with a high risk of emotional fatigue and burnout. At Ellie, we use all of our core values of humor, creativity, authenticity, acceptance, determination, and compassion not just out in our communities, but we turn them inwards too! Our employees have clear growth paths for advancing their careers.
We have created a culture that reminds us that our employees are our leaders!
Company Structure
Ellie is a socially responsible for-profit business, which allows us to be flexible and responsive to our community's needs. Many mental health and wellness-focused companies are non-profits or government agencies, which rely on the general public, grants, or large donors for funding. This model often results in little creativity and lower compensation for employees, promoting a work culture that just makes people feel "blah."
Feeling blah doesn't help employees stay motivated, engaged, or even in their jobs for a very long time! So we created a new model: one that puts flexibility, innovative decision-making, creativity, and our people first, while remaining a socially conscious and responsible for-profit business focused on changing how we treat mental health.
In short, we're just people helping people. Wanna join the herd?
