What are part-time MLOps jobs?

Part-time MLOps jobs involve working reduced hours on tasks related to machine learning operations. MLOps professionals help manage and automate the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of machine learning models in production environments. These roles may include responsibilities like setting up CI/CD pipelines for ML models, managing cloud infrastructure, monitoring model performance, and collaborating with data scientists. Part-time roles are ideal for those seeking flexible work schedules or supplementary income while still contributing to the development and operationalization of AI solutions.

What are some common challenges faced by part-time MLOps professionals, and how can they be managed effectively?

Part-time MLOps professionals often face the challenge of balancing project continuity with limited working hours. Coordination with full-time data scientists and engineers can be demanding, especially when aligning on deployment schedules or troubleshooting issues. The Opportunity:
When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software development, and that means rigorous testing. That's why we need you, a knowledgeable test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.
As a bioinformatics test engineer on our team, you'll work with scientists, analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to evaluate software developed for the client. You'll work on creating a test plan with test cases based on user stories. You'll analyze complex biological and public health datasets, support genomic and omics workflows, and validate the functionality and quality of web-based applications and analytical platforms software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. You'll help transform data into actionable insights while ensuring systems and workflows perform accurately and effectively.
You'll leverage your expertise in genomics, automation, and data management to build, test, and support solutions that improve public health outcomes. This position is located in Atlanta, GA.
Join us. The world can't wait.

  • Knowledge of nf-core compliance
  • Knowledge of data management using SQL or NoSQL-based technologies
  • Knowledge of data validation, quality assurance, and software testing best practices
  • Ability to conduct analysis, interpretation, and communication of complex large datasets independently, clearly, and concisely
  • Ability to develop, execute, and automate test cases for complex bioinformatics workflows, reports, and dashboards through web-based applications and APIs
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
