The Opportunity:
Imagine using your scientific and engineering skills to transform US Government research in artificial intelligence hardware technologies. As part of our team, you'll serve as a strategic technical advisor to the US Government, helping oversee the creation and execution of advanced government-funded research and development programs in microelectronics, including the latest artificial intelligence technologies for disruptive applications in sensing, communications, and computing.
You will have the opportunity to work with world-class scientists and engineers to shape national security investment through the development of cutting-edge technologies for military applications. You will leverage technical expertise to support senior DoD decision-makers with the strategic evaluation of new concepts and assessments of technological gaps. You will support our client's mission by providing recommendations on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs through preparing in-depth analyses, conducting background research, traveling to research and development facilities, and interfacing with the research and development community. You will work closely with government clients to track and evaluate the progress of sponsored research and communicate technical findings to a wide audience.

You Have:
  • 10+ years of experience in microelectronics hardware technologies, including artificial intelligence or quantum computing hardware
  • Experience developing materials or processes for artificial intelligence microelectronics
  • Experience with technical communication
  • Knowledge of how to optimize hardware to execute target software algorithms
  • Knowledge of computing architectures that integrate traditional graphics processing units with next generation computing, such as quantum computing
  • Knowledge of advanced computing processes or error correction
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with precision measurement or quantum measurement
  • Experience with designing, fabricating, or testing chip-scale devices or circuits
  • Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication tools and processes
  • Doctorate degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
