Bilingual Member Services Representative/Teller: Sterling, IL
Our customer in Sterling, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Member Services Representatives/Tellers to work part time or full time on 1st shift. As a Member Services Rep/Teller, you will process member transactions, maintain a balanced cash drawer, provide excellent customer service, and ensure compliance with regulations. Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) to apply.
Responsibilities of the Bilingual Member Services Representative/Teller:
  • Independently maintain and balance assigned cash drawer.
  • Perform routine member transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, check disbursements, general ledger postings, dead-end checks, and other general functions.
  • Handle problem resolution using independent judgment to ensure member satisfaction and escalate to an appropriate employee when necessary.
  • Stay informed about and comply with regulatory and compliance issues for deposit accounts.
  • Respond to member inquiries in person in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Handle coin bags in the coin machine and perform simple maintenance tasks.
  • Process mail and night drops.
  • Possess knowledge of the organization’s services to answer basic member questions.
Bilingual Member Services Representative/Teller Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish (required).
  • Cash handling experience (required).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Service-minded with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Basic PC skills (required), including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Availability to assist at other locations, as needed, once trained and comfortable.
Pay for Bilingual Member Services Representative/Teller: Starting at $16/hour (possible more with previous experience)
